Last spring I partnered with Yo Mama Maternity to show a few examples of what to wear for your maternity and newborn session using stylish maternity & breastfeeding clothing. That blog post has been super popular, so this year we decided to do it again, but amped up our game slightly with real life moms and moms-to-be as our models. Clothing for your maternity or newborn photo session doesn’t have to be complicated and should be a reflection of style. You can’t go wrong with leggings and a long tunic, or skinny jeans and a sweater. After all, we’re capturing what your real life looks like, so we want to make sure you still look and feel like you!

 

The Maternity & Breastfeeding Photo Shoot

On a slushy day in late February, we gathered at Little Brick Cafe & General Store in Edmonton to showcase a few of the beautiful pieces Yo Mama offers. Their clothes are always so on-trend and yet also classic – you won’t tire of them through your pregnancy or breastfeeding journey. And if you haven’t been into Yo Mama since you were pregnant, you should really go check out their breastfeeding section – it’s huge! So many fashionable yet practical options for those of you who have a nursling. (Or if you like shopping from your computer in your sweats, like I do, you can shop online!)
