THE SESSION SLIDESHOW
I feel like I have a special bond with parents who have babies who don’t sleep. We didn’t sleep through the night for the first 2 years of my oldest daughter's life. My husband and I were 2 humans wandering through our house like zombies, and we became serious masters of 5 minute cat naps. April and Mike were also gifted with a beautiful baby, Elijah, who wasn’t a fan of long sleep cycles. But, even with their exhaustion, you could tell they were just absolutely smitten to have Elijah as part of their family.
We met in their beautiful west Edmonton home just before Christmas to talk about the session and then we met again on a cold January day when Elijah was a few weeks old. I’ve since been back to photograph Elijah when he was 4 months old, (when the snow was gone and we were able to head outside for a bit), 8 months and 12 months old.
