Photographing Saturday mornings at home never gets old. It’s like the whole family has a collective chance to breathe easy and relax after a busy week. It also happens to be one of my favourite times with my own family, so when I’m able to capture it in stills for another family, I already know how special it’s going to be for them. And to be special, it doesn’t have to be fancy or complicated. We do what your family would already be doing. For this family, on a sunny June morning, it was waffles, colouring, gardening, trying on costume jewellery, and lots and lots of bed jumping. A classic Saturday morning.

And isn’t this house decorated with a crazy amount of personality and charm? Since sharing sneak peeks of this session I’ve been asked multiple times about the kids’ rooms. Lindsay is an incredibly talented Mama who is the dynamo behind The Ruby Thursday Collective. She makes the cutest knobs for kids rooms, photographs families, and offers interior design consultations. She’s one busy lady!
