Such a Fun Age by Kiley Reid

Ahh, this book! My favourite so far this year by far. It was fast-paced, easy to read and yet so nuanced. There were many times I’d read a line and then later on down the page I’d realize how important something in that line above was, without even realizing it. I love a book that doesn’t make me google word definitions but still keeps me really engaged.

Armchair Expert presents Monica & Jess Love Boys

I have loved Armchair Expert since it first came out a few years ago, but this new spin-off experiment has me hooked. I wait for Wednesdays to roll around to see how last week’s dating experiments for Monica and Jess went. Maybe it’s because I’m SO far removed from the dating world, but I find it fascinating to hear all about their experiences and to listen to them digging deep to find out where the problems are arising from.

Bonus listen: Dying For Sex. A woman diagnosed with terminal cancer leaves her husband of 15 years and decides it’s time for a sexual awakening. You’ll be laughing and crying and cheering Molly on.

Wearing

The Play Me Real High Waisted 7/8 leggings from Aerie. Ok, so I’m a pretty die-hard Lululemon fan, but I’d seen these leggings recommended by multiple people and decided to give them a shot.

When they arrived, the package was so small that I figured they’d gotten my order wrong, but, nope – there were leggings in there! The material is VERY different than Luon – almost more like a traditional tight, but super thick and way more stretchy. When I first put them on I really wasn’t sold, but the more I wore them, the more I absolutely loved them. They never fall down and they have just the right amount of sheen. They have a LOT of stretch and a bit of a snug feel – but not so much that your legs hurt by the end of the day. The black is 100% opaque and passes the squat test too.

This is a very random Instagram recommendation, but trust me on this one. A good friend recommended that I follow @eholmes and I sort of went, “huh?”. But trusted her and I’m so glad I did!

Elizabeth Holmes comments on Royal fashion – mostly Kate + William. This is the account I didn’t know I’d become obsessed with until I got excited every time I saw a new IG Story pop up from her. Her thoughts on the outfits are so spot on and her insight has me looking at the clothing choices royals make in a whole new way.
