I hope you had a great week! We’ve been hunkered down inside, in what feels like the longest winter of all time, but I’m defying all logic and still planning on starting my seeds for our garden this weekend. Let’s hope that by the time they are tiny little sprouts the ground might be thawed and ready for them. (Fingers crossed!)

Ok, let’s talk about editing…..

I get a lot of questions about what I use to edit and what presets I use. The quick answer is Adobe Lightroom and a modified version of a preset from the Clickin Moms Garden Collection. But, that being said, I think it’s really important to be able to edit from scratch without using a preset.

So, let’s start with a before and after from a recent self-portrait I made.

The video below is a screen recording of me editing this image from start to finish. I show you how a few different presets look on the SOOC image and then also walk you through how I edited it without using any preset. It is quite in-depth and is geared towards photographers, but even if you’re not a photographer, you might find it interesting to see the process and how much time can be spent on one image.
