There is no right kind of beautiful.

Let me say that again. THERE IS NO RIGHT KIND OF BEAUTIFUL.

I believe that in the core of my being.

I’ve spent the last 4 years finding beauty in the mundane, everyday moments for the families who have been gracious enough to invite me into their homes, and have been brave enough to share a small slice of time with me. Small homes, large homes, small families, and large families, I can assure you that within every single family unit there is an incredible amount of beauty. And yet, sometimes it takes someone else to show it to you in a different way in order for you to realize it – to reflect it back at you so that you can really see it.

Throughout my time working with families, I’ve had countless conversations with mothers about how life changes after babies. Your body is different, your mind is different, your priorities are different. You are different. You’re a million things to a million different people, and the woman you used to be feels like she might not be reachable any longer. I’ve been there – I 100% get it.

But here’s the thing: she’s still there.

Underneath it all is a woman who deserves to be seen. The covetable, sultry you who needs to escape once in awhile.
