When I was a little girl and my parents used to ask me what I was going to be when I grew up, it was always a teacher.

Well, that’s not entirely true. It vacillated between a teacher, a doctor, a veterinarian and a country music star. But, teacher was the one that stuck around the longest and usually won out (and my girls will tell you they are thankful I gave up the singing dream as they routinely tell me to be quiet in the car!)

So, to be here now, in my mid-30s, building a business that I’m incredibly proud of (even though I never listed photographer as my future occupation – funny how life works out!), and seeing some of that childhood teaching dream come true, is pretty marvellous.
